Kakheti Co
The history of the company started in 1533, when King Levan of Kakheti founded a traditional wine cellar in the heart of Kvareli, the company was founded in the basement of the wine factory in 1992. The wine cellar produces more than 40 different wines in addition of traditional kakhetian chacha. Today, the company owns 80 ha of vineyards throughout Kindzmarauli, Kvareli and Napareuli PDOs and their wines’ character derives from these prized locations. The southern ridge of the Caucasus with the river Duruji and Alazani, create a microclimate that form excellent conditions to enhance the distinctive features to an already high quality wine produced both by traditional (qvevri) and classic (European) methods.
